Tomorrow starts a new day...

As tomorrow comes, we begin a new journey. Rick leaves early tomorrow for Florida. He will begin training with AirTran on Monday in Atlanta and continue in Orlando on Tuesday. He'll have to drive alone which I don't envy. I hope that he plans to stop in Atlanta to visit the Peaveys. While we, the boys and I, are sad to see him go, we are excited to move back home.

After today, I have 18 days of school left. The students are becoming increasingly anxious and ready to get out of school. Although, I secretly can tell you that we are just as anxious. =) It's been a really hard year and I am ready to wrap things up. For seven years I have worked with students with emotional disabilities and autism and I am starting to feel the effects. Most nights are I come home exhausted. Only a few weeks to go!

Please keep us in your prayers as we search for a new home. I am also on the hunt for a new job. I pray that our paths are shown and we head in the right direction.

The house is now for sale. The market is really bad right now and our realtor is optomistic about selling. One big hurt is that the town closed the main entrance to our development today. It will be closed for four months due to road construction. It makes for some interesting times.

Well...we thought we were going to Memphis...

Hello all..For those of you who have been keeping up with us lately, you'll know that we were planning to move to Memphis for Rick's new job. In fact, Rick was suppose to leave on Saturday (tomorrow). Well, the powers that be, ie GOD, has decided to answer our prayers. We've been trying to move back to FL for a few months. On Thursday, Rick got a phone call from AirTran on Thursday morning with a postitive job offer. We have been waiting to hear from them since he interviewed at the beginning of March, way before the whole ATA shutting down.

So...now he'll be leaving in a few weeks for Orlando and staying with his folks until we can get down there. We are praying that our house sells quickly. That would be a miracle if it could happen. Housing prices have taken a hit in Indiana and we are feeling the effects. I would like to be out of here by July so that I can start the new school year in the Orlando area.

Thank you for all of the prayers and thoughts. We continue to ask for prayers for our family to find a home in FL and hope to continue to give out some positive news!

And a new adventure begins....

Well, this is our my first blog, so bare with me. We are about six weeks until the end of another school year..YEAH!!! It's been a long and busy year. I'll be glad to shut the door with this years set of students. They have certainly kept me busy. I have had an unusual amount of disgruntal parents and they have kept me hoping.



Not that I have enough to do, we're are trying to get the house ready to put up for sale. It's been a little over a week since ATA shut down and Rick's been out of work. He got right to work on looking for a new job (many of his applications happened the morning of the airline shutting down). The very next day, Rick got a call from a regional carrier in Memphis, TN. Well, they flew him down on Wednesday and he had a written offer that day. So, as of Saturday or Sunday next week, he'll drive the seven hours to Memphis to start thier new trainings on April 21st. Thankfully, he'll have his flight benefits back (only gone for a week). So for a while, he'll be in classes from Monday - Friday and take a late flight that evening so he can be home for the weekend. It will be a new adventure. For a while, we'll have to adjust to many different things, especially not having him here everyday.



I am asking for prayers that God leads us to where we are suppose to be. Our faith is in his hands. With this time of poor house sales, we are asking for a miracle!
